With our Precinct Meetings come and gone, it is time for us to move forward towards State Convention. With that in mind, we have included links to the Official registration and nomination forms. These forms may now be filled out and submitted by:

Below is the Timeline for the 2012 Pecinct Meetings and State Convention. It includes all deadlines for submittal of forms and nomination papers to DPH Headquarters. Also included below is the reimbursement form for Precinct Meeting Locations.

Those wanting to become a delegate or alternate candidates may obtain the statement of candidacy and pledge of support forms and filing instructions from Democratic Party Headquarters, in person, by mail, or from the Party’s web site www.hawaiidemocrats.org

Presidential candidate deadline for certifying the name(s) of their authorized representative(s) to the State Party.

January 6, 2012
|
Presidential candidate deadline for filing the petition of candidacy with the Hawai‘i State Democratic Party.
|

February 23, 2012
|
Deadline for each announced presidential candidate to submit a statement specifying steps the candidate will take to encourage full participation in the delegate selection process. (Individuals who announce their candidacy after this date must provide this full participation statement to the State Party not later than 30 days after their announcement.)

Party Secretary certifies results of precinct meetings. District-level delegates and alternates are allocated according to presidential preference.

District-level delegates and alternate, pledged PLEO and at-large delegate candidate deadline for filing the statement of candidacy and pledge of support forms with State Party.

|
State Party provides list of district-level delegate and alternate, PLEO and at-large delegate and alternate candidates to the respective Presidential candidates.

Presidential candidates provide list of approved district-level delegate and alternate, PLEO and at-large delegate and alternate candidates to State Party.

Presidential candidates submit lists of candidates for standing committee members to State Party.

May 12, 2012
|
The Hawai‘i State Democratic Chair shall certify in writing to the Co-Chairs of the DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee whether each presidential candidate has used their best efforts to ensure that their respective district-level delegate candidates and district-level alternate candidates meet the affirmative action and inclusion considerations and goals detailed in the Affirmative Action Plan.

State Party certifies in writing to the Secretary of the DNC the remainder of elected delegates and alternates (PLEOs, and at-large), along with standing committee members, delegation chair, and convention pages.
